Coal City USA Foundation Abuja chapter places significant importance on the role of program management and organizational commitment in the development of humanitarian competence, community engagement and member’s benefits.

Our Secretariat

There are currently nine (9) Admin in charge of Abuja chapter led by the Coordinator who is accountable for daily activities.

Representation

CCUF Abuja chapter represents and acts in the interests of our members in Abuja with coordination mechanisms of CCU International guideline and ensures their participation in critical-decision making platforms.

Policy, Advocacy and Community Engagements

Coal City USA Foundation Abuja Chapter mobilize members on collective positioning on educational support programs, widow’s empowerment, girl-child and engage directly with the community, as well as policy makers and influencers at national and regional levels.

Our Purpose

Coal City USA Abuja chapter Policy Framework complements the Peace and humanitarian efforts by various relevant international Organization initiatives on humanitarian activities in Africa. The Framework recognizes extant international norms and standards on the various aspects and scope of humanitarian action. It further recognizes the linkages between humanitarian assistance, peace, natural and human-induced disasters and development issues.

Platforms and Working Groups

This include Humanitarian Committee Platform, Human Resources Working Group (HRWG), Logistics Working Group (LWG), Finance Working Group (FWG), and other Ad hoc Working Groups or committees are set up based on the need and events.

Our Key Functions:

Coordination

CCUF Abuja chapter facilitates and ensures productive relationships and mutual understanding among all members, as well as with government authorities, local humanitarian agencies, member states, partners and donors.

Information Sharing

CCUF Abuja chapter keeps our members and other institution informed through transparent and efficient flow of relevant and critical information.

Partnerships and Capacity Development

Through identified needs and gaps among members we commit to the development of individual and institutional capacities. CCUF Abuja propagates environmental protection through workshops and seminars organized to educate the people on the need for a healthy environment. It strives towards promoting peace and sustainable development. We are also working towards partnering with government and other development organization to create effective programs on issue affecting poor people and communities.
