Introduction

Coal City USA Imo State chapter was created in 2020 with strong desires to foster good relations amongst mankind and to sponsor and promote charitable and philanthropic causes. Membership is open to all irrespective of race, religion or tribe.

Growing extensively since 2017, there are already chapters of the Association in most Nigerian City since 2020 with CCU main headquarters located in Los Angeles, California-USA. It is a privilege to belong to Coal City USA. CCU is also non-political and non-profit (NGO).

We are an exclusive, organization that fosters humanitarian outreach, friendship and diversity integrations with the philanthropists, humanitarians, social activist Nigerians as our members. Such members are educated, integrity, eminent, and most distinguished Nigerians who appreciate and value the finer things in life. With a membership, the individual had the opportunity to expand their social network with like-minded individuals within an entertaining and relaxing environment.

Our goal

The goal of Coal City USA Imo State chapter is to offer its members a comfortable environment where they can express love to humanity and prosper socially. Our esteem organization does not get involved in politics. We avoid personal acrimony or animosity as much as possible. Coal City USA (042 Global) embodies and stands by the value of love, oneness and unity from our formation, growth, and into what we are today as an organization.

Mission:
  • 1. To create a suitable environment for the pursuit of practical model of development, encourage social awareness and participation.
  • 2. To provide and promote recreational and social facilities activities for, and understanding among, its members in particular and the members of the public in general.
  • 3. To provide club house at Owerri chapter.
  • 4. To provide and establish social welfare and entertainment centers in institutions for members in particular and the community in general.
  • 5. To provide members and the general public with benefits where necessary such as assistance and relief in distress.
  • 6. To make periodic contributions for the advancement and promotion of charity or benevolent activities and organizations.
  • 7. Promotion of the welfare and cultural heritage of members.
  • 8. Enrichment of life of members and the society through social interaction.
  • 9. Engendering and fostering the spirit of charity, brotherly love and mutual understanding among members.
  • 10. Diversification of life through recreating cultural and social activities
  • 11. Giving assistance for charitable works
  • 12. Creation of endowments for the promotion of learning and research
Membership
  • 1. Membership of the Coal City USA Imo State chapter is open to all gentlemen and ladies above twenty one (18) years of age, who are of good character and social standing.
  • 2. They must have never been convicted of a criminal offence involving fraud, murder, dishonesty etc. They should have a visible means of livelihood. Prospective members shall be a member of their town’s union meeting or local government union.
  • 3. Every application for membership is approved for admission by the Executive Committee of CCU Imo State chapter.
Procedure for joining / Enrolment

The application form for a prospective member shall be submitted to the house in advance by the sponsor(s). The sponsor(s) will answer questions to the best of his/their knowledge with regard to the prospective member.

Interview of the prospective member will take place during the next general meeting following the submission of the application form, or on any other date approved by the Executive Committee. The interview panel shall declare their recommendation to the general meeting.

The interviewing panel will consist of three standing members appointed by the Coordinator. On acceptance, the member will produce the following to validate his membership: Enrolment fee of fixed amount, contingency fee of fixed amount, One bottle of Remy Martin VSOP, One bottle of Moet Chandon Champagne, Two cartons of Guinness (small bottles), Four pieces of Kola nuts.

Patron

The honour of Patronage shall be bestowed on a member(s) who is/are recommended by the Coordinator and approved by a simple majority of members present at the meeting, subject to ratification by the National HQ, Nigeria.

Title

Any member who wishes to be honored with the Association National Title shall meet the Chapter minimum requirements which are in addition to any National HQ requirements in force at such a time.

Honours

A meritorious honour may be bestowed on a member on the recommendation of the Coordinator and approved by the Executives.
