OUR CORE BELIEFS
Coal City USA sends teams of volunteer doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, optometrists, and other health professionals to medically under-served communities in Nigeria/Africa. Coal City USA missions provide holistic care that include medical, vision, and dental care. We focus on chronic diseases and conditions that often go undetected and untreated among those who cannot afford the cost of healthcare: Hypertension, Diabetes, Malaria, Breast and Colon Cancer, Heart Disease, Stroke Prevention, among other conditions. We also provide preventive education through culturally sensitive instruction to help sustain good health in the communities.
Coal City USA Medical Mission is a humanitarian year round mission to provide FREE medical care to the people of Africa who are underserved and less privileged. It is in response to health crisis (Arthritis, Infections, Ulcers, High blood pressure, Wounds, Health education, etc) that Coal City USA medical mission was planned to contribute to solutions that solve health issues affecting people in Africa.
Our medical missions’ teams are made up of both medical professionals and non-medical team members. Usually our medical teams are about 15 members and one third of them are typically medical professionals. Medical training or not, you can play an important part in God’s work. Doctors, nurses, dentists and other medical professionals play an obvious role on medical teams but so do electricians, teachers, business people, pastors, stay-at-home moms and anybody else with a heart for Christ are needed just as much. They are critical to the overall team.
TRIP COST & ARRANGEMENTS
Volunteers will be required to purchase their own flight tickets and travel visas. We will help you with the logistics to make sure you have all the proper documentation, shots, and other travel and field requirements. The foundation is responsible for your accommodation, transportation, feeding, and other logistics while in any African country.
HELP FUNDRAISING
We can help every volunteer to do fundraising for the cost of their flight ticket by providing them with a letter that they can send to friends, family and other supporters. We can also assist volunteers with online fundraising where people can easily donate to their trip.

WHAT YOUR DONATION CAN DO:
- $5,000 Supports the overall 2-week CCU Mission Trip that allows us to see over 400 patients daily and will support the Mission Fund to build a permanent facility.
- $2,500 Supports a mission team volunteer on our Mission Trip to Africa.
- $1,000 Provides the meals we will to 100 individuals for an entire week during our mission trip.
- $500 Provides preventative care items (vitamins, hygiene items) to meet the needs of 25 adults for three months.
- $250 Ensures that 10 of our future doctors receive necessary school supplies for an entire year.
- $100 Provides preventative care items (vitamins, hygiene items) to meet the needs of 5 adults for two months.
- $50 Will help provide the meals we will serve to individuals for an entire week during our mission trip.
- $25 Provides a sick patient with 10 treatments of antibiotics for a 2-week period.
